Coming Soon!

Building on the success of the inaugral HTCIA Asia Pacific Training Conference held at the University of Hong Kong in December 2007, the planning is well underway for the second such event which will be held as follows:

Dates: 10th to 12th December 2008
Venue: 10th Dec in Microsoft Conference Centre, Admiralty HK
11th-12th Dec at the University of Hong Kong

As with last year's Conference, this will be a combination of a one-day management seminar, a technical conference track and three hands-on technical training tracks.

About the Conference

The High Technology Crime Investigation Association is a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing knowledge and resources to those management and practitioners involved in the field of high technology crime investigations and computer forensics.

In this rapidly evolving discipline, training opportunities are limited and often costly in nature. The HTCIA Asia Pacific Chapter's main aim is to bring hands-on training at the lowest possible cost to our Region. The speakers at the conference will all be leaders in their fields and as part of the global community effort to fight high-tech crime will be generously providing their time, skills and knowledge without fee.

Day one of the conference will consist of two tracks in a seminar style at the magnificent Microsoft Conference Centre conveniently located in the heart of Hong Kong at Pacific Place III near Admiralty. One track will be dedicated to security and investigation managers who need to have a deeper knowledge of IT crime, security and forensics (management issues) for their day to day work. The line-up of speakers will be announced shortly but will include world leaders in different aspects of this work including law-enforcement, electronic discovery, litigation and corporate governance. The other track will be focussed on cutting edge technical issues, again delivered by world leaders in their disciplines, including authors and researchers (without any commercial sales pitches).

In addition to the value of the training on offer, this conference highlights a unique opportunity in the Asia Pacific Region to bring together practitioners from both law enforcement and the private sector, with all the networking opportunities that this brings with it.

Further information and registration details will be added to this website soon, so please keep checking back! Any enquiries can be directed to:
